I hope you've been having fun going to some of the fun things to do throughout the metropolitan area. This website primarily focuses on those informal, casual shows found in area parks and small eating establishments. At the end of your work day when you're looking to sit back, listen to some music with friends, and be outside - here's the place you should come to see what's going on.
The list had close to 500 events this year. As of today, I've deleted those from June, July and August to make it easier for you to navigate. Yes, it may seem like the summer is winding down, but there's still LOTS of outdoor music to listen to. And, maybe you'll need to bring a sweater or light jacket - but it'll still be fun!
With so many entries, there may be something I missed or an update I didn't get. If you see a mistake, or an omission, use the "Contact Us" tab and let me know - I'll do updates on a regular basis.

A little history:
I started compiling this list about 10 years ago for myself as I enjoy going to free music in Milwaukee parks and restaurants with my friends. It was an easy and convenient way to see exactly what was going on at dozens of venues. I shared it with some friends who shared with their friends and co-workers. Soon, total strangers were asking for "Lois' List"! While some events may be missing - this area is loaded with fun things to do in the summer -- many of them are here. The extensive list includes events west to Waukesha, and north to Cedarburg.
It's also my intent to encourage you to turn off your phone, stop texting for a couple of hours, and meet your friends at a park or a festival. Catch up with the people you care about face-to-face. Enjoy music and good company on many lovely evenings this summer.
